Rehearsal Dinner PDF Print E-mail

Everyone looks forward to the rehearsal dinner. This is a time to celebrate the upcoming wedding and all members of the bridal party are so excited that the time of the wedding is near. Typically the bride and groom are happy and may be a little jittery. Sometimes other members of the wedding party are feeling this way too.

The rehearsal dinner is also an ideal time for the two sides of the family to get to know each other. Sometimes members of the family really have not had a chance to sit down and speak to each other in a comfortable way. The rehearsal dinner is a fun and social time. It is best to have some informal toasting from perhaps the father of the bride or the father of the groom. Usually the bride and groom say a few words. But keep the evening casual and relaxed so everyone has a chance to enjoy themselves.

The wedding rehearsal was the time to tell everyone what they needed to do at the wedding -- a rehearsal dinner is not the time to give bridesmaids more tips about how to exactly hold their bouquets or how to walk properly. So relax, have fun and let everyone enjoy getting to know one another!
